Hyper ~ real deals with the question of hyperreality in the digital age and the way in which reality and virtuality intertwine and become indistinguishable. More precisely, the paintings attempt to capture the moment when human consciousness loses its ability to distinguish the real from the virtual. Each subject is first altered or digitally transformed and then transposed into an oil painting.
