On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the start of the Algerian War, “Information was lost” explores how media-driven perception reshaped our understanding of this conflict and continues to shape its memory. Discourses on both sides of the Mediterranean diverge, as if two wars had been fought. Information was lost” speaks of this confusion. The video “Information was lost” is the result of research carried out in the various archives of the city of Paris, in the context of a residency at the Cité des Arts.
