Donia Jornod is an artist based in Zürich. Her work explores the intricate realms of truth, focusing on how it is constructed, manipulated and disseminated in contemporary society. Through painting and installation, her practice explores information ecosystems, media manipulation, collective beliefs, folklore and superstition, weaving together fact and fiction, dreams and histories to generate new imaginaries.
Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad, including Galerie Stephan Witschi, Zürich; LOKAL-INT, Biel; PROGR, Bern; Culterim Gallery, Berlin; Rote Fabrik, Zürich; and EPFL, Lausanne. She was awarded the Ideation grant from the Migros Culture Percentage (2026) and the studio grant of the Canton of Zürich at the Cité internationale des arts, Paris (2024). Her editorial and research-based practice has led to numerous publications, including commissioned imagery for Pro Helvetia.
